About the Founder
The Football Lab was founded by Kurt Herd, a Scottish football coach with almost two decades of international experience across various capacities within the game. Kurt currently serves as the FIFA Talent Coach for Dominica in the Concacaf region, where he works closely with players and coaches to nurture talent and elevate football standards. His wealth of knowledge has been shaped by his experiences in diverse footballing environments across Scotland, Sweden, Australia, Malaysia, and Kyrgyzstan.
Throughout his career, Kurt has held various key roles across all levels of the game from Grassroots into National Teams including Head Coach, Opposition Analyst, Assistant Coach, Technical Director, Individual Development Coach, and Player and Coach Development Officer. His experience spans coaching elite players, analyzing opposition strategies, and developing tailored programs to enhance individual and team performance. He has seen the game from all angles, understanding the nuances of player development, team dynamics, and the essential skills needed for success at all levels.
